Message From Pastor

"Problems. We face plenty of them in our own lives with family feuds, financial stress, and physical ailments to name just a few. Not only that, but we also are bombarded with news of war, murder, homelessness, rape and a seemingly endless list of other issues that give us a sense of despair.

But, what if....

What if there was a place where you could experience hope in the midst of all of the problems? What if, instead of fearing all the pain that life has to offer, you could be joyful in spite of it all? What if there was a place where you could bring your doubts, faults, fears, and hang-ups without being judged or made to feel inferior? What if there was one place where you could feel that God really loves you?

Good news--there is such a place. Together we are Stoney Point Baptist Church, but individually with are just ordinary people with an extraordinary God.

We're not perfect and we know it. Instead we choose to realize that imperfect people can have a relationship with Jesus and experience the kind of love and hope that so many long for. Because of this we don't expect you to be perfect either. We all have a past filled with mistakes and a present that often is as well. But with God's help we are looking forward to a future where we will be what God created us to be.

The truth is that we are all on a journey and we know that the best way to stay on course is by building a relationship with Jesus and with each other. If you need help, our hand is extended. If you need hope, our hearts are open. If you need a shoulder to cry on, we have big ones. If you need anything at all, we would like the opportunity to help.

Take a look around this site, contact us, check out our MySpace page, or come by for a visit. You don't have to look a certain way or talk a certain way. Simply be you and don't be afraid to ask questions. We may not have all of the answers, but we can learn more as we travel together."
